for protection against terrorist attacks in the USA and everywhere
for the safety of armed forces away from home, especially Lt. Kelly Lanternier and Daniel Krivenko
for an end to racism and hatred that perverts the will of God
for families which know the pain of stressed or broken relationships
for the homeless and hungry, refugees & those persecuted for their faith
for those who live with unrelieved chronic pain each day of their lives
for those across the country especially feeling the pain of economic stress
for a lasting truce and growing peace between Israelis & Palestinians that our congregation will observe Lent with devotion and discipline
that we will make our newest members feel welcome in the life of our parish

Prayer of the Week:

Lord God, you are the source of our every joy and you have given us reason to rejoice in all things. That reason is our redemption through your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. In him we have hope in every circumstance and the peace that passes all understanding. May we live our lives in him and trust in his eternal love. In his name we pray. Amen.
